Old Blood Noise Endeavors

Brady Smith and Seth McCarroll met at the University of Oklahoma and founded Old Blood Noise Endeavors in Norman in August 2014, drawing on Smith's earlier experience building pedals at Keeley Electronics and Walrus Audio. The Black Fountain Delay, their first release, set the tone for everything since — effects that lean toward the unconventional side of reverb, delay and modulation rather than straight amp-in-a-box drives. The name itself is deliberate: "old blood" as the inverse of "young blood," "endeavors" left open-ended for whatever the company might build beyond pedals. Now based in Oklahoma City, OBNE is one of the more distinctive boutique names we cover regularly. Here's what we've written.
