TC Electronic

Brothers Kim and John Rishøj started TC Electronic in Denmark in 1976, and the SCF chorus/flanger pedal that followed became one of the defining modulation effects of the era. The company grew into rack-mounted processors and studio gear through the 1990s and 2000s, forming TC Group in 2002 by acquiring TGI plc and bringing several audio brands under one roof. Music Group, chaired by Uli Behringer, bought TC Electronic in 2015 and later renamed itself Music Tribe, folding TC in alongside Behringer and Midas. The Ditto looper and PolyTune tuner are probably its best-known modern products, and both turn up regularly in our pedal coverage. Here's what we've written.
