Jackson Guitars, in collaboration with Revocation's virtuoso guitarist David Davidson, have unveiled the Pro Series David Davidson Warrior WR7, a seven-string electric guitar that's as visually striking as it is sonically devastating.
WR7 Warrior
This latest signature model is a masterclass in aggressive design, featuring the sharp, angular lines of the iconic X-style Warrior body. Available in two eye-catching finishes – a vibrant Ferrari Red with a reverse headstock and ebony fingerboard or a scorching Ferrari Yellow with a traditional seven-in-line headstock and maple fingerboard – the WR7 is guaranteed to turn heads and raise eyebrows.
"This guitar looks like it needs a permit," quipped one industry insider, hinting at its formidable presence.
But the WR7 is more than just a pretty face. It's a performance-driven machine, meticulously engineered for speed and precision. The 26.5" scale length caters to low-end tunings, while the 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard and high-performance neck profile ensure effortless playability.
Occult Classic
Davidson's signature DiMarzio Occult Classic humbuckers, controlled by a three-way toggle switch, volume, and tone knobs, deliver a crushing tone that's perfect for metal's most demanding players.
A Floyd Rose 1000 Series seven-string double-locking vibrato unit allows for extreme whammy bar acrobatics, enabling players to summon everything from searing harmonics to the "hellish sound of mewling livestock."
Neck Thru
The guitar's construction is equally impressive. A neck-through design features a one-piece maple neck, reinforced with graphite rods, sandwiched between a nyatoh body.
The thin, oil-finished neck, adorned with 24 jumbo frets and minimalist Piranha Tooth inlays, provides a smooth and fast playing experience.
Black hardware and locking strap buttons complete the package.

"What made me want to do a Pro Series version of the WR7s here was, I mean, I just got such a response from fans. Once the custom shops came out, everyone was talking about them,” said Davidson. “I'm just really stoked that they finally arrived. Jackson really hit the sweet spot with these. How can you not want to play fast?”
Despite its premium features, the WR7 is surprisingly affordable, with a street price of £/$1,399. While a custom case may be required to accommodate its unique shape, Jackson provides a gig bag to get you started.
"Everything is built towards performance," stated a Jackson spokesperson. "This is an electric guitar that’s built, nay, engineered for speed."
However, potential buyers are warned: wield this instrument with caution. Its sharp edges and aggressive tone may lead to accidental impalement and sonic chaos.
